LAVROV'S AND BRYZA'S STATEMENTS ARE PURELY DIPLOMATIC EXPRESSION - EXPERT

Lavrov's and Bryza's statements are purely diplomatic expression,
which, frankly, lacks a special concrete nature.

The statement came from political expert Fikrat Sadikhov while
commenting on latest statements by US ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew
Bryza and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov about outcomes of
the June meeting between Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian presidents
in Kazan on settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Bryza has said that the settlement process of the conflict continues.

In turn, the Russian Foreign Minister said at a press conference in
Moscow that work on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement will
    continue in the near future.

'Lavrov's and Bryza's statements are purely diplomatic expression,
which, frankly, lack a special concrete nature. Both are experienced
diplomats and, of course, they voice political line of their
leadership, which emphasizes that the major powers, of course,
are interested in establishing peace and stability in the region,'
    Sadikhov said.

There were no illusions about the meeting in Kazan 'because we knew
that there will be no radical solutions, some positive changes until
Armenia changes its position fundamentally,' the expert added.

'The fact that Lavrov and Bryza make far-reaching statements shows
that major powers still have interest in our region.'

The recalled noted that Baku is ready to grant the highest status of
autonomy to Nagorno-Karabakh within Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

'Our position in this regard is quite clear, firm and principle. It
meets international norms, which, unfortunately, are often violated
by major powers of the world,' Sadikhov said.
