Armenia recognizes the Republic of South Sudan

Armenia recognizes the newly-emerged state of Republic of South Sudan,
Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan has said.
`The declaration of independent statehood in South Sudan is an
exercise of legal equality of nations and an inalienable right to
self-determination and another example of civilized settlement of
conflicts,' said Nalbandyan.
The Republic of Sudan (North) officially recognized the new state on Saturday.
The Republic of South Sudan declared independence earlier in the week
following decades-long civil war with North Sudan.
