"The President stated while making his remarks over the Kazan-hosted
summit, that Azerbaijan appeared with 10 new proposals. In the
aftermath of it the Basic Principles haven't been agreed on. The
Armenian party has officially declared the current document is
acceptable for us, while soon after Kazan meeting Armenian FM declared
a breakthrough could be materialized when Azerbaijan removed its new
proposals. Thus, when it's so obvious why the agreement over the
document was failed, it's unacceptable and strange to speak about
both Armenia and Azerbaijan not demonstrating political willingness,"
Republican MP Gagik Melikyan told Panorama.am making his remarks
over the International Crisis Group Europe Program Director Sabine
Freizer's statement that Armenia and Azerbaijan didn't perform will
to agree over the Basic Principles.
The MP said Azerbaijan pushes new changes through its proposals.
"Unlike Azerbaijan, Armenia performs political will to put an end to
the process. Baku suggests proposals which may change the principles
and the nature of the existing document." G. Melikyan says equality
sign between the sides is unacceptable.
