Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan must be prosecuted for the current
economic situation in Armenia, the Armenian National Congress says
in its official statement.
The ANC says that the ex premier of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan is one
of the oppositionists actively persecuted by the regime in the last
years. The persecutions started after Bagratyan's statement condemning
the sale of ArmSavingsBank and Agrobank. That statement was an adeaute
response to the machinations of Tigran Sargsyan, then the President
of the Central Bank. But as a result Bagratyan was forced by court to
pay 1.2mln AMD fine and to officially apologize to Sargsyan. Bagratyan
refused and was fined thrice each time having to pay 400,000 AMD.
The ANC is unanimous with Bagratyan and believes that a person that
has caused $50mln damage to his country as a result of machinations
with gold reserves, has forced almost 200,000 people to emigrate,
has shattered the small and medium-sized business and agriculture
and has made Armenia the second worst economy in the world after
Madagascar must no longer hold the post of Prime Minister.
