MINISTER NALBANDIAN INVITED THE OSCE SECRETARY GENERAL TO ARMENIA

On July 15 Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had a meeting
with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.
Congratulating Mr. Zannier on being elected Secretary General of the
OSCE, Edward Nalbandian voiced hope that he would contribute to the
implementation of the pan-European objectives of the Organization.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to different fields of OSCE
activity and exchanged views on the reformation of the organization.
Minister Nalbandian noted that Armenia attaches importance to the role
of the OSCE in ensuring security and cooperation in Europe and will
continue to participate in the organization~Rs activity on all levels.
At the request of the OSCE Secretary General, the Armenian Foreign
Minister presented the latest developments in the negotiation process
on the settlement of the Karabakh issue, emphasizing the important
role and efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group in the settlement process.
Edward Nalbandian invited Lamberto Zannier to Armenia to continue
the dialogue.
