A symbolic prize was waiting for the person who would be the first
to buy a souvenir in Vernisage - an open air market in the center
of Yerevan.
Though it was announced earlier that Vernisage would henceforth work
daily, one could see a few pavilions at the market.
"Yesterday it was confirmed that Vernisage is shifting to daily work
schedule on July 18," said trader Karen Avdalyan.
The administration continues the improvement of the market, trying
to attract new buyers.
Speaking about the number of visitors, the chief cashier Karen Papikyan
said, "After the improvement we have new traders. We are doing our
best not to increase the stallage."
However, traders say they have to pay 1000 drams instead of the
previous 600 drams.
