Armenian divers set world record at Northern Hemisphere

On 21 July the club of marine works "Ayas" and "Armenian extreme"
Ltd. set a world record during the expedition headed by the world
champion on diving Rafael Lazarian at Northern Hemisphere.

It was for the first time in the history of the Northern Hemisphere
that members of the expedition dived at the bottom of the Kari lake
located in the slopes of the Mount Aragats, which is at the height
3207 above sea level. Jacques Yves Cousteau's team was the first and
the only one which made similar expedition to the Lake Titicaca in the
Southern Hemisphere. Diving is especially dangerous in such
conditions, taking into account the height where the lake is located,
shortage of oxygen and sharp changing of pressure.

At the moment of diving the water temperature at the surface was +5
degrees and at the bottom - +3 degrees. The divers were for an hour
and 20 minutes at the bottom of the lake Kari and managed to measure
    its depth.
