FORMER MAYOR OF YEREVAN TO COME BACK INTO POLITICS BY THE TIME OF PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

In Sept 2011 former Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan will announce
his comeback.
Zhamanak newspaper reports that Beglaryan, who quitted the politics
in Dec 2010, is still a member of the ruling Republican Party of
Armenia and is committed to use his strengths for the sake of the
RPA's victory during the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
As far as the paper knows, Beglaryan meets with President Sargsyan
on a regular basis. The last meeting took place some 15 days ago.
Beglaryan resigned from the post of mayor in Dec 2010 after kidnapping
and beating employee of the President's Protocol Service Aram Kandayan.
