Uriah Heep will release a career retrospective concert album and DVD,
Live in Armenia, on September 23.
The album was recorded from a stop on the extensive tour undertaken
on the back of the band's 40th anniversary Celebration album, which
featured new studio recordings of 12 of their classic tracks as well
as two new songs. That tour saw them play over 250 shows in a year.
When they were booked to play in Armenia for the first time, the band
were approached by TV and film crews to document the concert.
"It was unique because it was a first for us, and the fact that our
music meant so much to so many people, was just wonderful," guitarist
Mick Box said in a statement. "It cannot get any better than that.
There were some technical problems to overcome, as we played on hired
equipment, but the emotion of the night won through, and if asked,
we would indeed go back and play again."
