    SEYRAN OHANYAN: WHENEVER THE NATION AND THE ARMY ARE UNIFIED THEY ARE INVINCIBLE

    The visits of the Students from diaspora to the ministry have become a
    tradition. Today, on July 22, the ARM Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan
    received the students from diaspora who are carrying out their summer
    internship in the framework of the AGBU projects.

    By welcoming the students, the ARM Defense Minister noted that the
    students from diaspora being part of the Armenian nation can support
    their country with their knowledge. While emphasizing the relation
    between army and the society Seyran Ohanyan particularly said: "The
    Ministry of Defense pays great attention to the public affairs, trying
    to make as transparent as possible. We always say that whenever the
    army and the nation are unified they are invincible", mentioned the
    minister, assuring that such meetings contribute to the raising of the
    national spirit and also enable the understanding of the motherland.

    Before meeting the minister the students had visited the NKR,
    got acquainted to the daily routine of the soldiers, met with some
    compatriots, visited several sightseeing places.

    Member of the World Council of the AGBU said the following of the
    students: "they are citizens of foreign countries though they want
    to be part of their motherland".

    Afterwards the minister answered the questions, concerning the
    Armenian peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan, combat readiness of
    the Armenian army, Karabakh conflict, and the acting defense policy
    of Armenia.

    After the meeting with the minister the students visited the Military
    Institute after V. Sargsyan, got acquainted with the daily routine
    of the future army officers and the educational process. They also
    visited the museum of he institute where they were comprehensively
    told the history of Artsakh War.
