RUSSIAN MIGRATION SERVICE OPERATES IN ARMENIA ILLEGALLY

In March of this year, the youth organization 'Hima' (Now) said about
the illegality of the functioning of Russian migrant centers in
Armenia.
Expert opinions were issued on TV shows, meetings. It was found that
these centers operate in Armenia absolutely illegally, and the project
"Countrymen" is just a way to solve the demographic problems of remote
areas of Russia via emptying Armenia. Authorities had to react, and
the government acknowledged that "a project according to these
standards cannot be done". But instead of finding and punishing those
guilty, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan intends to put the question on
the project "Compatriots" on the level of intergovernmental
discussions.
Hima organization demands to conduct negotiations with Russia on this
project, close all the immigration centers in Armenia, like other CIS
countries did, to punish officials who have shown criminal negligence
and allowed exodus from the country.
