"NAIRI" CINEMA TO START OPERATING FROM SEPTEMBER

    ARMENPRESS
    July 27, 2011
    YEREVAN

"Nairi" cinema will start operating from September. The Armenian
National Cinema Center will start presenting films there. The director
of the cinema center Gevorg Gevorgyan told Armenpress that more
probably the films will be shown from September 10.

Gevorgyan said currently they are working with the Yerevan municipality
and RA Education and Science Ministry toward working out programs.

"We have already reached agreement with the "Nairi" cinema, now we
are just in a process, trying to find out what means are necessary
for the implementation of the programs", the director of the cinema
center said, noting that they try to link their programs with the
    children of different ages.

A number of screened classical works like "Chaos", "For Honor",
"Gikor" etc will serve as classes for children.

A minimal price will be established for tickets for paying salaries
to the employees. "Ticket may be sold for one session when the showing
of films of masters of world films will be showed. There will also be
days of French, Italian and other countries' films", Gevorgyan said,
noting that negotiations are being conducted with embassies in that
direction. He said if embassies ensure the translation of the films,
it will be possible to make tickets free or form invitations for the
    representatives of embassies.

"We are not seeking incomes, we want "Nairi" cinema turn into a
film-cultural center where people will know that everyday they watch
children's films, Armenian films, and films of world directors",
    Gevorgyan said.
