WORLD CHESS CHAMPIONS PROMISE TO CONTINUE TRADITION OF VICTORIES

YEREVAN
A lot of Armenians gathered July 27 late in the evening in "Zvartmots"
airport to welcome the Armenian chess team that arrived from the
Chinese town of Ningbo with a title of world champion.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who is also chairman of the RA
Chess Federation, personally arrived in the airport and handed laurels
to the heroes of the tournament - world champions Sergey Movsisyan,
Vladimir Hakobyan, Gabriel Sargsyan, Robert Hovhannisyan, chief coach
of the team Arshak Petrosyan, deputy chairman of the Chess Federation
Hrachya Tavadyan. Levon Aronyan has not arrived in Armenia.
President Sargsyan warmly congratulated the world champions, coaches,
and members of the delegation on their glorious victory, wishing them
all the best.
>>From the airport the car escort moved to the Freedom Square where
the champions met with the sport lovers.
"We were feeling your warmth", the champions said, promising to
continue the tradition of victories in future as well.
Afterward a concert dedicated to the victory of the chess team
launched.
