YEREVAN. - The issue of snap presidential and parliamentary elections,
raised by oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC), may be
included in the agenda of the talks between ANC and coalition,
Armenian ruling Republican party MP, member of the coalition working
group to dialogue with opposition Gagik Minasyan told the journalists
on Thursday.
According to him, any issue that concerns either side may be included
in the agenda of the talks.
"We have agreed with our colleagues that any issue, independent of
its nature, should become a topic for discussion during the talks. We
are at the initial phase of the process and its continuation may lead
to unexpected and interesting developments even for ANC," Minasyan
stated and added that he does not share the viewpoint on holding
snap elections, as Armenia does not face a situation to be resolved
through snap elections.
The first meeting between oppositional ANC and authorities took place
on July 18, the second on July 26. Ruling coalition participates
in the dialogue with 6 members (two members from each party) and
oppositional ANC has 5 members, headed by Levon Zurabyan.
