The Armenian and Georgian relations have never been at the present
level for the past twenty years. Now there are intensive and close
relations between the presidents, the governments, said the Georgian
Ambassador to Armenia, Tengiz Sharmanashvili.
He said the Armenian prime minister and ministers are going to visit
Georgia. According to him, communication between us has never been
so intensive, and he is happy about it. There are no issues between
Armenia and Georgia which are impossible to solve through negotiation,
just as Serzh Sargsyan has stated recently.
"Relations with a third country will never influence our
relations. We had been cooperating before the third subject emerged
in history. This is our bilateral relation and nobody can hinder it,"
said Sharmanashvili.
Dwelling on the recent unrest in Georgia, the Ambassador say it
is not a matter of instability, people are just exercising their
constitutional right to hold protests.
According to him, there are no forces in Armenia which get foreign
financial support in return for creating obstacles to the development
of the country. The events in Armenia are its home affairs and are
not provoked from the outside.
