Armenia has the status of an observer at the NATO Parlaiemntary
Assembly. During the spring session the Armenian delegation tried to
prevent Azerbaijan's attempts to include an anti-Armenian resolution
in the agenda.
Republican MP Artak Zakaryan hopes that Azerbaijan will fail to have
an anti-Armenian resolution be put on the agenda of the NATO PA fall
session to be held in Romania.
"I hope NATO will remain committed to its principle of supporting the
efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group and will restrict its participation
in the Karabakh settlement process to this," Artak Zakaryan told a
press conference today.
According to him, the Deuville statement of the Presidents of the
OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries was a clear message, indicating
that the use of force by Azerbaijan is condemnable.
