Azerbaijan ventures another provocation ahead of Kazan meeting
June 4, 2011 - 11:51 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - NKR Defense Army has already refuted Azeri media
reports about `killing of an Azerbaijani civilian as a result of
ceasefire violation,' said a spokesman for Armenian Defense Minister.
`If Azerbaijan side has evidence to prove the killing, Baku can
produce it to international institutions for an investigation.
However, I am convinced that the canard is nothing but a regular
provocative act on the threshold of the presidential meeting in
Kazan,' David Karapetyan told journalists in Yerevan.
On June Azerbaijani media circulated reports saying that `civilian
Elmar Piriyev was killed by Armenian forces.'
Presidents Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia, Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and
Dmitry Medvedev of Russia will meet in Kazan, Russia, on June 25.
