Georgian-Armenian parliamentary committee discusses cooperation

An Armenian and Georgian inter-parliamentary committee discussed
cooperation issues in Armenia's North-Western town of Ijevan on
Friday.
The Armenian delegation was headed Deputy Chairman of the National
Assembly Samvel Balasanyan and the Georgian one was headed by his
counterpart Mikheil Machavariani.
The parties discussed several issues related to the activities of the
inter-parliamentary committee and highlighted the necessity of raising
the efficiency of those activities.
They also attached importance to the need of enlivening and developing
the existing partnership between the two parliaments, and referred to
other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended also by Armenia's Ambassador to Georgia
Hovhannes Manukyan and Georgia's Ambassador to Armenia, Tengiz
Saharmanashvili.
