HRAIR SIMONIAN REACHED TO FINAL OF BLITZ OPEN

GM Hrair Simonian reached to the final of the blitz open organized by
the Internet Chess Club (ICC), where he had a draw (3:3) in the match
against the well-known American grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura. Only
after the tiebreaker did Nakamura win with the minimum score of
4,5:3,5. Simonian took the second prize.
The current Champion of Armenia, GM Robert Hovhannisyan also had a
successful performance and lost to the same Nakamura in the semi-final.
Another Armenian chess player, IM Levon Altounian took a place in
the list of the top eight, "armchess.am" informs.
