RPA: CALLS FOR SNAP ELECTIONS AIMED TO FRUSTRATE DIALOGUE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Calls for snap elections are aimed to frustrate
the dialogue between the authorities and opposition, according to a
member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
"The dialogue should focus on improvement of living conditions of
the population, democratization issues and formation of a betters
pyramid of power," Manvel Badeyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
"The dialogue with the Armenian National Congress (ANC) is realization
of the public demand for consolidation," he emphasized.
For his part, former presidential hopeful Arman Melikyan said that
he doesn't see reasons for not discussing all urgent issue with the
Congress. "A real political dialogue seems a vague perspective while
the exchange of views in going on in media and Liberty Square," he
said, adding that the authorities initiated the dialogue as a result
of public pressure.
