MINISTER NALBANDIAN EMPHASIZES FRANCE'S POSITIVE INVOLVEMENT IN THE KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Mr. Philippe
Lefort, Head of the Continental Europe Department of the French
Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, who has arrived in Armenia to
participate in political consultations between the Foreign Ministries
of Armenia and France.
Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandian hailed the high level of
Armenian-French bilateral relations and the intensive contacts,
underlining that they create a good basis for further reinforcement
and expansion of ties between the two countries.
During the meeting the interlocutors touched upon a number of regional
and international issues of reciprocal interest.
The parties discussed the Armenia-EU relations, particularly the
current stage of ongoing negotiations on the Association Agreement.
Minister Nalbandian emphasized France's positive involvement in
the Karabakh conflict settlement process as co-chair of the OSCE
Minsk Group.
