Turkish Fenerbahce FC gives up singing Armenian song `Zartnir, lao'

Supporters of Turkish football club Fenerbahce will no longer sing the
anthem to the music of the Armenian song `Zartnir, lao' (Wake up, hero).
Fenerbahce fans found out that the music of the song is taken from the
song `Zartnir, lao,' which contains anti-Turkish wordings, Sabah
newspaper reports.
The author of the anthem Hakan Yavuz said that they did not know that
it was an Armenian music. `Henceforth, we will not sing this song,'
Yavuz noted.
Youth wing of web site broadcasted via YouTube a song, the melody of
which coincides with Armenian song Zartnir, lao (Wake up, hero).
