Ararat Zurabyan resigned from the Armenian Pan-National Movement
(APNM) to join a new political force, according to the deputy chair
of the Free Democrats party.
"Ararat Zurabyan has submitted a notice on withholding membership to
APNM, and after the process is over, he will join the Free Democrats,"
Anush Sedrakyan told Tert.am.
Asked whether Alik Arzumanyan of the Armenian Pan-National Movement
is going to join the party too, she said: "All I can say about Alik
Arzumanyam is his proactive involvement in the party's organizational
activities."
The Free Democrats party has been founded by Khachatur Kokobelyan,
a former vice chair of the APNM board. US Ambassador to Armenia Mari
Yovanovich recently visited the party's headquarters.
