YEREVAN. - Members of "Heritage" parliamentary faction Stepan
Safaryan and Armen Martirosyan met with Thomas Melia, Deputy Assistant
Secretary, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor on Sunday. The
officials discussed human rights in Armenia and the country's domestic
political developments.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues on systematic reforms
and constitutional amendments, the press service of heritage party
informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Leader of "Heritage" parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan met with
European Union External Action Service Managing Director for Russia,
Eastern Neighborhood and the Western Balkans Miroslav Lajcak on June
11 in Yerevan.
Safaryan presented "Heritage" party's ideology, statements on
Nagorno-Karabakh's recognition, as well as the party's approaches
to Madrid Principles, domestic political developments and upcoming
elections.
