"NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS" OF ARMENIA AWARDED CERTIFICATE ISO 9001 OF THE COMPANY GIC

YEREVAN. June 14. /ARKA/. National institute of standards of Armenia is
awarded international certificate of quality ISO 9001 by the company
GIC (Guardian Independent Certification), said representative of GIC
in Yerevan Arnet Poghosyan.
In the system of the national institute qualified international
auditors which knowledge and skills correspond to ISO 9001 standards
are working.
She said that the certificates of the Institute are important as for
the producers, as well as for foreign consumers.
Director of the National institute of standards Yenok Azaryan
informed that the high assessment given by GIC is based on several
factors, including the work of experts, quality management system
and cooperation with international companies.
"With the purpose of the development of the sphere we established
15 technical commissions and are cooperating with 35 international
technical commissions, the experts of which were invited for
cooperation in the sphere of technologies on water cleaning,
gasification and high technologies", he said.
Azaryan emphasized the importance of correspondence of the products
of Armenian producers with European quality standards.
National institute of standards of Armenia is a member of ISO board
in 2011-2012 along with standardization structures of France, USA,
Great Britain, Germany, Japan, Russia, Korea, Canada, Norway, Italy,
Malaysia, Iceland, Kazakhstan and Malta.
The Institute joined ISO in 1997 and from 2008 it is a partner-member
of European Committee on Standardization. It participates in
activities of International Council on Standardization, metrology
and certification operating in the frames of CIS countries, as well
as is a member of committees on politics in the sphere of assessment
of correspondence (CASCO), problems of developing countries (DEVCO)
and protection of interests of consumers COPOLCO.
