FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO A. BABAJANYAN IN YEREVAN

Today in Yerevan Chamber Music Hall after Komitas, the Young Pianists
International Contest-Festival after Arno Babajanyan will start, which
will continue till June 22, told the journalists Armen Harutyunyan the
Chairman of the Board of the Young Pianists International Competition
- Festival after Babajanyan. He also added that the contest-festival
is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Armenian outstanding
composer of the 20th century Arno Babajanyan.
The contest is aimed not only at honoring the memory of the composer
but also at discovering new talents.
The contest will be held by 3 rounds: Group A- participants up to 10
years old, B-group from 11-14, and C-group from 15-17.
Some of the participants are laureates of international, republic
contests and festivals A. Harutyunyan informed.
The organizers of the contest - festival are the RA Education and
Science Ministry and the Yerevan music-college after Arno Babajanyan.
