The delegation of RA Ministry of Defense has participated in the
sitting of NATO Political and Partnership Committee in the format of
28+Armenia

(Noyan Tapan - 17.06.2011) On June 17, in Brussels, in the
headquarters of NATO, the delegation headed by the first Deputy of RA
Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan took part in the sitting of NATO
Political and Partnership Committee in the format of 28+Armenia.
2011 report of evaluation of the RA-NATO Planning and Review Process,
as well as the goals referred to the field of RA Defense and the
results of the strategic review of RA Defense within the frames of the
new project of the RA-NATO Individual Partnership Actions Plan were
discussed at the sitting. NATO's 28 member states welcomed the end of
the strategic review of RA Defense and expressed willingness to
support the implementation of reforms in the field of Defense formed
at the result of the review. NATO member countries highly praised also
the trebling of RA troops in Afghanistan, the continuation of the
peacekeeping mission in Kosovo and the recorded progress in the
implementation of the objectives of the partnership of RA-NATO
planning and review process.
At the end of the sitting RA delegation expressed its satisfaction
about the results of the meeting and thanked the member countries for
providing the security of the Republic of Armenia and for the
readiness to support the development efforts in the fields of Defense.
