Cases of prostate cancer increase in Armenia

YEREVAN. - In recent years cases of malignant tumor of prostate gland
and urinary bladder are getting more and more frequent among Armenian
men, even worse, we observe tendency of rejuvenation of these cancer
types, chief medical officer of National Center of Oncology Ashot
Petrosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to him, doctors observe increase in the numbers of diseases,
along with their rejuvenation.
`Males of 45-60 years continue to be in most dangerous group,
especially those who abuse alcohol and cigarettes. Heredity is a
different factor. For this reason men should undergo a serious
examination at least once a year, in order to avoid further
complications," said the expert, recalling that his youngest patient
with prostate cancer was 30-year-old.
