PERFECT NONSENSE

RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan in an interview with BBC said that
Armenia is ready to normalize its relations with its neighbor Turkey
without any preconditions. "We will be happy if our Turkish colleagues
come to this conclusion, that having close borders in the 21st century
is nonsense," said Tigran Sargsyan.
It is logical that the recipient of the Armenian Prime Minister's
words is Turkey, and the answer should be heard from Ankara. However,
as it is known, after the parliamentary elections in Turkey Erdogan's
government laid down its authorities. Perhaps, that is why the Chief
of department of foreign relations of Administration of the President
of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov made comments on the
proposal of the Prime Minister of Armenia. But the government has
"acting status", while the Turkish president has the authority and
could assign someone to speak for the idea expressed by the Prime
Minister of Armenia.
But Azerbaijan, seems, gives to understand that the roles are changed
about the issue of the Armenian-Turkish relations. Ankara repeats
everything said in Baku, like a parrot.
Mammadov, therefore, suggests that "Armenia could withdraw its troops
from the Azerbaijani occupied territories without any preconditions".
First of all, who said that Armenia "has troops in the territory of
Azerbaijan," and the second, "where is the connection between the
Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish relations". And the third,
when Armenia says that we are ready to normalize relations with Turkey
without preconditions, it does not mean that Armenia needs it more
than Turkey or Azerbaijan.
So, it is a perfect nonsense that the Azerbaijani presidents'
administration responds to the admonition that was addressed to
Turkey. Besides, Novruz Mammadov thinks that the opening of the
Armenian-Turkish border is so significant that the Armenian side would
fulfil all of their requirements for it.
This is, indeed, innovation in international relations, a know-how,
which is certainly the biggest diplomatic "achievement" of Ilham
Aliyev. It is already known that Azerbaijan owes its existence to
Turkey. Why they need talking about their illegitimacy once again?
Maybe, Novruz Mammadov has doubts that "their father could forget
about them?"
One could imagine everything, except this one.
