President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut
Cavusoglu hopes that an agreement on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict
will be signed at the forthcoming presidential meeting in Kazan.
"I hope that an agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be signed
at the forthcoming presidential meeting in Kazan," Cavusoglu said at
a press-conference in Strasbourg within the ahead of the PACE session.
"Nobody can be happy if no agreement is signed. We are pleased with
the advancements in this context," he stated.
The PACE President noted, however, that the settlement of the issue
is directly linked to the Armenian-Turkish relations. That is to say,
the PACE President once again sets the Karabakh issue as a precondition
for the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.
