Representatives of a number of international organizations are
currently in Armenia who, on the one hand, are trying to observe the
moods of the society related to the basic principles of the settlement
of the Karabakh conflict and, on the other hand, are trying to
"convince" the Armenian society concessions are inevitable and that
some "guarantees" will be ensures for the Karabakh people.
They say the return of territories is a condition required for the
settlement, and the Azeris will not return to Karabakh, only to the
territories which Armenians will have already left, the Armenian
refugees who have to live in the former apartments of Azerbaijanis
will receive immense compensation to afford to buy houses. Experts
do not give a concrete answer to why the Karabakh people should leave
their homes, land, independence, they just promise mountains of gold.
But if you have that money, why don't you give it to Azerbaijanis so
that they will buy new houses in Alibayramli?
In fact, the "world community" is ready to have thousands of people
move, to pay huge compensations, and finally spend 16 years on
negotiations just to satisfy the ambitions of the Azerbaijani
leadership which promises to fill a pipe with some gas.
The worst thing is that the Armenian leadership swallowed the bait.
The Armenian leadership and its henchmen in the opposition dare to
call the principles proposed by the Minsk Group as "progress". How
can you call progress an intention to cut the territory of Nagorno
Karabakh from 12 thousand square km to 5 thousand, extend the front
line of Karabakh and Armenia 3 times, return aggressive Azeris,
deploy foreign soldiers in the country, upset Iran?
But the important thing is the surprise of world actors which, on the
one hand, are trying to convince the Armenians, and on the other,
cannot understand how the country's leader or foreign minister can
refer to utter capitulation as progress.
Mr. Nalbandyan, come to Karabakh, there you will be explained what
progress toward settlement is.
