SHA'TH HEADS TO ARMENIA TO APPEAL FOR RECOGNITION OF PALESTINIAN STATE

Ramallah, 19 June: Nabil Sha'th, Fatah Central Committee member and the
commissioner of international relations, headed today to the Republic
of Armenia to appeal for its recognition of the Palestinian state.
Sha'th, who heads a delegation of Fatah, will meet with a number
of Armenian officials and leaders of political parties in order to
explain the political situation, especially the Palestinian bid to
the UN and the consolidation of bilateral relations.
The visit comes within the framework of the relentless efforts
the Office of International Relations of Fatah is exerting on the
international level in preparation for the September [UN] bid, and
lobbying further international support for the Palestinian political
situation.
In addition to Armenia, Sha'th will visit Moldova, the Philippines,
Mexico, Colombia and other countries in the coming period in the
context of the Palestinian preparations for the next stage in
September.
