"President Serzh Sargsyan's remarks on the activity of the PACE
subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh were rather convincing in the respect
that it's completely unclear why it was established and it's still
unknown whether it will help or harm the process entrusted to the OSCE
Minsk Group," member of the National Assembly's Standing Committee
on Defense, Interior Affairs and National Security Hrayr Karapetyan
told a press conference today.
Commenting on the statement of the Central Committee of the Armenian
Revolutionary Federation of Nagorno Karabakh that no issue on the
Basic Principles can be discussed without Artsakh's participation,
Hrayr Karapetyan said: "Azerbaijan poses a serious threat to Artsakh's
security until it makes an abrupt change in its approaches. Speaking
about mutual concessions in this situation is wrong and is pregnant
with danger."
"Azerbaijan is not ready for peaceful settlement of the Karabakh
conflict, and the Kazan meeting will come to prove this," the MP
stated.
