KAZAN STATEMENT: PRINCIPLES HAVE NOT BEEN AGREED, THOUGH ADVANCEMENT HAS BEEN REPORTED

Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan have issued a joint
statement after Kazan-hosted meeting. The statement says that the
parties have recorded advancement over the Basic Principles of
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution.
"The heads of the states have agreed upon a range of issues, the
resolution of which will contribute to creation of prerequisites for
the adoption of the basic principles," statement reads.
The parties have focused on the process towards the agreement of the
draft of the basic principles.
Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents have expressed appreciation to
Russia, USA and France "for their permanent attention towards the
conflict of Nagorno-Karabakh." They've hailed Russian President's
personal efforts towards the issue.
