The German publication Die Tageszeitung wrote that Russian President
Dmitri Medvedev hoped there would be a breakthrough in the Karabakh
conflict settlement in the Kazan summit of the Armenian and Azeri
presidents.
"The signing of a road map was supposed to put an end to the conflict
that goes back to the Soviet times," the publication says. "But the
OSCE Minsk Group efforts were useless."
It also said that the West believes Moscow should assume the
responsibility of making decisions in the post-Soviet conflicts.
