"The Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan met in Kazan at the
invitation of Russian President on June 24, the meeting concluded
with a joint statement by the three presidents," the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
"As stated in the declaration, the meeting in Kazan identified or
confirmed several points of understanding, enabling to continue
negotiating on the present basis for the subsequent adoption of the
principles of settlement proposed by the mediators.
The result is not negligible, France, with its partners in the U.S.
and Russian co-chair of the Minsk Group, will spare no efforts to
assist all parties in the negotiations," the Ministry said.
"The French Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group together with his
American and Russian colleagues, who have already met with the
Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Kazan, will go back to Yerevan,
Baku and Nagorno-Karabakh in the coming weeks to prepare for further
negotiations."
