Four top rated world chess players will participate in a major chess
tournament dedicated to renowned Soviet player Mikhail Botvinnik's
100th birthday anniversary.
Mikhail Botvinnik is the first world chess champion from Soviet Union.
International Chess Federation (FIDE) commemorated 2011 as the year
of Mikhail Botvinnik.
The two stage tournament is scheduled for September 2-3, with
participation of current world champion, FIDE rating list leader
Indian Viswanathan Anand (2817 point), Norwegian Magnus Carlsen (2815
points), Armenian Levon Aronyan (2808 points) and world ex-champion
Russian Vladimir Kramnik (2785).
The announced participants of female rapidplay tournament are world's
leading players: Russian Tatyana Kosintseva, Indian Humpi Koneru,
Armenian Elina Danielyan and Lithuanian Victoria Chmilite, reports
