ALL PREREQUISITES EXIST FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF RENEWABLE ENERGY

All prerequisites exist for the development of renewable energy in
our country, Tamara Babayan, Director of Armenia Renewable Resources
and Energy Efficiency Fund, told reporters today.
The Fund started its activity in November 2005 implementing credit and
grant programs targeted at the development of the fields of renewable
energy and energy saving.
Today the Fund presented the results of its research works in the
above-mentioned spheres collected in an almanac. In particular,
it presents a guide for renewable energy program, the scheme of
development of small hydro-electric power plants, studies devoted to
the production of biofuel, other materials.
According to the almanac of the Armenia Renewable Resources and
Energy Efficiency Fund, both short-term and long-term programs can
be implemented in our country. Foreign and local experts participated
in the research works of the Fund.
