Even if hostilities resume in Nagorno-Karabakh, the sides will not be
allowed to war for long, Andrey Areshev, an expert for the Institute
of Oriental Studies, Academy of Sciences of Russia, stated during a
Yerevan-Moscow spacebridge, Feb. 28. "Let us be optimistic," he said.
The expert pointed out that a military solution to the conflict is
unacceptable to many states, even such antagonists as Iran and the
United States," to say nothing of Russia.
