KARABAKH DEMONSTRATION AT AZERBAIJAN'S EMBASSY IN HAGUE

The Joint Armenian Organisations of the Netherlands (FAON and Hay
Tad) are organising a demonstration to commemorate 23th anniversary
of the pogroms of Armenians in Sumqayit.
Hereby we call on all other Armenian organisations and all Armenians
in the Netherlands for a massive demonstration to commemorate the
Armenian victims of the pogroms of Sumqayit (1988) and Baku (1990),
to demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Nagorno Karabakh and
to ask the support of Dutch government and international community to
seek a peaceful solution to the conflict, honouring self-determination
of the people of Nagorno Karabakh.
The demonstration is intended: * to enforce peaceful solution of the
Nagorno Karabakh conflict * to emphasise the right for self-determi
nation of the people of Nagorno Karabakh * to keep alive memory of
the victims of the massacres such as in Sumqayit and Baku to avoid
such disastrous events.
