Exhibition in the Parliament
On March 3 in the Green Foyer the exhibition of the works of the
well-known painters Arevik Arevshatyan, Teni Vardanyan and Marine
Dilanyan, dedicated to the women's spring holidays opened.
In the painters' seventeen canvases, which strictly differed by their
work style and expressiveness, the woman's feelings, the perceptions
and understandings of world and happiness, evil and good were
presented.
Opening the exhibition the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan said:
`Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear colleagues,
on the occasion of the women's holidays, our mothers, sisters and
daughters enjoy special attention and tribute. We address them words
of assessment and congratulation, and I would like to wish you that
this tribute will continue the whole year. Our people permanently
bowed before the Armenian woman's humble and at the same time strong
character. In the hardest moments of the history the woman has been
support inspired hope and faith. The Armenian woman has been a chapel
of firm hope for the house. I would like to congratulate and thank all
the women, who bring up and educate new and new generations of
Armenian citizens, who are engaged in science and culture. Today we
pay tribute to those women, servants of the art temple. Three women's
insight is in this foyer. We are bowing before the strength of your
art. I would like to give a small present and I wish that love, warmth
and happiness be always with you.'
The NA Speaker gave the painters canvas and oil paints as presents.
The painters thanked the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan for supporting to
organize the exhibition, warm attitude and the interest shown towards
their works.
The NA Speaker Hovik Abarahamyan ensured that the National Assembly
would promote the increase of the women's role in political and
economic life of the republic.
