KAPAN, MARCH 14, ARMENPRESS: Eighty million AMD will be allocated
from the state budget for the repair of the only geological museum
of Kapan. The construction works are intended to start from the
second half of semester and wrap up at the end of the year. The
planning-estimation works are now under implementation with the
support of Kapan Mayor.
"We must support the only geological museum in our community as much
as possible, in order the money is used in time and purposefully," head
of the Urban Development Department of the municipality Vilen Badalyan
told Armenpress. The roughs of the two sub-buildings of the museum
are intended to completely change, renovate and fence the territory,
implement inner furnishing works, to apply illumination system, etc.
In parallel to those works, the one-storey sub-building of the museum
will be enlarged with 8-10 meters for the reserves of the museum
samples. Director of the museum Grisha Smbatyan said that after the
repair several problems must be solved, and in 2012 summer the museum
will again open its doors for visitors, which it did from 2008 up
today after moving to a new territory.
