Joining the European Union is not on Armenia's agenda, according to
political science professor at Yerevan State University.
As Narek Galstyan told a news conference in Yerevan, "creation of
a free trade zone with the EU, liberalization, as well as a possible
lift of visa requirements are among our primary priorities, cooperation
with the Union being in strategic interests of Armenia."
"Currently, Armenia-EU cooperation is implemented within the framework
of two main programs, European Neighborhood and Eastern Partnership,
which will enable Armenia's entrance to European market and
establishment of mutually beneficial relations," the expert stressed.
