ANC LEADER AND PACE CO- RAPPORTEURS TALK ABOUT "DISMANTLEMENT OF THE OLIGARCHIC SYSTEM"

Yerevan/Mediamax/. At the meeting with PACE co- Rapporteurs John
Prescott and Axel Fischer, the leader of the Armenian National Congress
(ANC), first Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosian spoke about the
"problems of dismantlement of the oligarchic and monopolistic system
in Armenia."
According to the report of ANC press service, "problems related to
democratic freedoms in Armenia, liberation of political prisoners, free
holding of rallies in particular, have been discussed at the meeting.
"Special attention was paid at the need of overcoming illegal
obstacles hampering the holding of rallies on the Freedom Square,
as well as disclosure of murders committed on 1 March 2008," the ANC
press service reported.
