Yerevan, March 17. /Mediamax/. Leader of Armenian National Congress
(ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosian stated today that the issue of Serzh
Sargsian's resignation "is still on the agenda".
Mediamax reports that Ter-Petrosian said this at ANC rally today.
"If the item with the demands on resignation of some representatives
of the authorities does not mention the name of Serzh Sargsian, this
does not mean that the issue of his resignation is excluded from the
agenda. Isn't it clear that as long as there is the demand to carry
out pre-term presidential elections, this cannot take place without
his resignation?" ANC Leader stated.
Touching upon the statement, made at the rally on March 1, Levon
Ter-Petrosian stated:
"A statement is not an ultimatum, as some people mistakenly think or
with an evil intention present, but a program on realizing democratic
reforms without shocks and a suggestion on starting a civilized
dialogue at the level of the authorities and the society, based, first
of all, on interests of the state and the realization of national
solidarity. We will have to make an ultimatum only when we consider
the possibility of a dialogue exhausted", ANC leader stated.
