ARMENIAN PRESIDENT IS READY TO HEAR OUT THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PACE CO-RAPPORTEURS

Yerevan, March 17. /Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsian has
received PACE Co-Rapporteurs John Prescott and Axel Fischer today.
"Mr. Prescott and I have had a few chances to talk within the framework
of EU about the benefit of the cooperation with Armenia and about
the fact that we highly appreciate the assistance, rendered to us
by European structures, related to our country's future development,
consolidation of democracy, protection of human rights, supremacy of
the law. I am sure that this time there will also be useful advice,
remarks. We are ready to hear them out and work together", Serzh
Sargsian stated.
According to the Presidential press service, John Prescott stated
that after the events of March 1, 2008, the changes that take place,
that they see and feel during the meetings with President, are obvious.
"These changes are estimated and assessed within the format and the
suggestions that we have made concerning the issue. Mr. President, the
most important thing here is political will that you have gained. We
have registered the will, directed to fulfillment of the commitments
you have taken upon yourself, and the changes, which are indeed
necessary", John Prescott stated.
