US AMBASSADOR TO RUSSIA: SAAKASHVILI WILL DISLIKE OUR POSITION

(Noyan Tapan - 18.03.2011) Georgia cannot reclaim its lost territories
by force and should better show itself a successful economic and
democratic model in the region, US Ambassador to Georgia John Beyrle
said in Moscow.
He noted that military supplies would do Georgia an ill turn for it
will increase distrust of Abkhazians and Ossetians toward Georgia.
"President Saakashvili will hardly like our position. If we render
military assistance to Georgia, the Russians will possibly hamper
implementation of our strategic interests," he said, reported CAUCASUS
PRESS.
