Aliyev thanks Kyiv for principled stand on Nagorno-Karabakh settlement
Baku April 28
Azerbaijan is grateful to Ukraine for its participation in the
settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan's President
Ilham Aliyev has said.
"I want to express my gratitude to Ukraine for its principled stand on
the conflict's settlement," he said at a joint press conference with
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in Baku on Thursday.
In particular, Aliyev noted that as a result of negotiations, the
presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan had signed a joint statement
stressing that the conflict should be resolved in line with the norms
and principles of international law and with regard to the principles
of territorial integrity, sovereignty and the inviolability of state
borders.
