Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan has been re-elected as chairperson
of the One Nation, One Culture Foundation's Board of Trustees, the
ministry's press service told Tert.am.
This comes after the foundation's former executive director, Tamar
Poghosyan, was dismissed amid a scandal over abusing authority.
The foundation's board has decided to issue a strict reprimand to
Poghosyan and ask the Control Chamber to launch inspections at the
foundation.
The decision was made based on a written notice from the Controls
Service of the prime minister.
"Considering the facts in the document, the Board of Trustees of the
One Nation, One Culture Foundation has decided that the foundation has
not fully met its charter requirements, and its Executive Director
Tamar Poghosyan abused authority, violating the Law on Foundation
and failing to implement the board of trustees' decision in a timely
manner," reads the statement.
The board of trustees has also made a decision to amend the
foundation's charter.
