CCAF DELEGATION MEETS PRESIDENT NICOLAS SARKOZY

The delegation of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations
in France (CCAF) had a meeting with French President Nicolas Sarkozy
to discuss the bill penalizing the denial.
On Wednesday, May 4, French Senate must examine the bill penalizing
denial of Armenian genocide. The question was put on the agenda by
the Socialist Party.
Despite the support of a majority of the Socialist party, communists
and some senators of UMP, may block the adoption of the bill.
President Sasrkozy assured the CCAF representatives that the
"government will leave the Senate free to determine its vote, without
any instruction by the majority."
On May 4, Armenians of France will hold a rally in front gates of
the French Senate, freelance correspondent Jean Eckian informs.
